Eden Greenhouses Shipping Policy

Edenlite Ltd trading as Eden Greenhouses

1. Your Rights Under New Zealand Law

Eden Greenhouses complies with the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (CGA). The CGA guarantees that our products must:

  • be of acceptable quality,
  • match their description, and
  • be fit for their intended purpose.

Nothing in this policy limits your rights under these Acts. If there’s ever a conflict between this policy and your legal rights, your statutory rights will prevail.

2. Shipping Policy

2.1 Order Processing & Dispatch

  • You will receive an order confirmation email when you place your order.
  • Greenhouses & larger items: Payment is made by invoice. We’ll email your invoice within 1–2 working days, and a 50% deposit is required to get your order underway. Typically dispatched within 2–4 weeks after we receive your deposit, depending on the model and current demand.
  • Parts & smaller accessories: Generally dispatched within 2–6 working days, subject to stock availability.
  • If an item is unavailable, we’ll contact you to discuss suitable alternatives.
  • Any dispatch or delivery timeframes provided are estimates only and may vary due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

2.2 Shipping Methods & Costs

  • Parts & smaller accessories (under 1.5 linear metres) are sent by courier and shipping is free within New Zealand.
  • Greenhouses and larger items (i.e., potting benches, aluminium shelves and shade cover kits) are shipped via approved freight partners.
    • Greenhouses: Freight to your nearest depot is included for New Zealand main centres.
    • Larger items: Freight charges may apply and will be included on your invoice.
    • Rural locations: Additional freight charges may apply and will be included on your invoice before your order is processed.

  • Greenhouses and larger items are generally shipped to your nearest freight depot for collection. We’ll advise you of the relevant collection arrangements for your order.
  • Where additional freight charges apply, these will be quoted and invoiced before dispatch.
  • If delivery to your address is arranged, you are responsible for ensuring there is suitable access for delivery vehicles. If delivery cannot be completed due to restricted access or site conditions, additional charges may apply.
  • If you are unavailable to accept an arranged delivery and redelivery is required, additional freight charges may apply.

2.4 Delivery Risk & Responsibility

Eden Greenhouses retains responsibility for your order until it’s delivered to you or collected by you. Risk only passes to you once the goods are received.

  • If you haven’t received tracking details or your order by the expected timeframe, please contact us.

2.6 Inspecting Your Delivery

Please inspect your order and all packaging as soon as possible after delivery.

  • If the packaging is visibly damaged or there are signs of damage or missing items, please note this on the carrier’s delivery docket before signing for the delivery where possible.
  • If you discover concealed transit damage after unpacking, please take photographs and notify us within 48 hours of delivery.
  • Please report any missing parts within 14 days of delivery.
  • Manufacturing defects that become apparent after installation should be reported within 30 days of discovery, together with photographs and your order details.
  • For installed structures, Eden may arrange an on-site inspection to assess the reported issue and determine the appropriate course of action.

2.7 Packaging & Components

To help protect your order during transport, each greenhouse is packed into separate cartons for easier handling and assembly.

  • Glazing Box: Contains the glass panels, rubber seals and glazing components.
  • Frame Box: Contains the aluminium framework, component pack, assembly instructions, and any optional accessories ordered (such as shelving).

2.8 Unloading & Assembly

Please take care when unloading and unpacking your greenhouse.

  • Remove glass panels one at a time and handle them carefully to avoid damage.
  • Use the supplied protective foam when stacking glass panels during assembly.
  • Components do not need to be unpacked in the order they will be assembled. Once you’ve located the parts required for the current stage, the remaining components can be safely stacked until needed.

For step-by-step guidance, please refer to the assembly instructions supplied with your greenhouse or watch our instructional assembly videos.
